German forward Jochen Hecht will be out for at least 2-3 weeks after having a surgery on his broken finger. Theoretically he could rejoin his team Buffalo Sabres if they manage to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup final, however it is highly unlikely that he will play again this season. The 32-year old center resumed practice however further examination revealed that his finger required a surgery. Before his injury Hecht didn't miss a single game of the regular season netting 21 goals and 42 points in 79 games.
