In the memory of Brendan Burke, who worked for the University of Miami hockey team and was killed in a car accident on February 5, the US Hockey federation will establish an internship for students, who study in the sports management field. Every year several university graduates will participate in the program. Brendan Burke was the son of Brian Burke, Toronto Maple Leafs general manager who led the US national team at the Vancouver Olympics.
